b. Sept. 19, 1945, Portsmouth, NH
Blalock began playing golf when she was thirteen. After graduating from Rollins College in Florida, she won the New England Amateur championship and then joined the LPGA tour. Her first professional victory came in the 1970 Lady Carling tournament.
From the time she joined the tour until 1980, Blalock made the cut in 299 consecutive tournaments and she won 29 of them, leaving her just one short of automatic induction into the LPGA Hall of Fame. Her one major victory was in the 1972 Colgate-Dinah Shore.
Since 1986, Blalock has worked as a full-time stockbroker and has played on the tour only occasionally.
