One of the great match-game bowlers in the era before professional tournaments, Blouin was often challenged but rarely defeated. He won the match-game title at the 1922 World Open and defended it five times against some of the best bowlers of the day before retiring in 1926.
Blouin won the ABC all-events title in 1909 with an 1885 total for nine games and took the 1911 singles championship with a 681 score for six games. In 19 ABC tournaments, he averaged 194 pins per game.
