b. 1901
An All-American end at Vanderbilt in 1923, Bomar was an excellent pass receiver. In 1922, he caught touchdown passes of 40, 43, and 52 yards. The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder was often used as a blocking back on important running plays and as a linebacker on defense.
