A graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School, Bryant was a Boston attorney whose hobby was archery. He won two gold medals at the 1904 Olympics, in the double York round and double American round, and he was also a member of the Boston Archers, who won a bronze medal in the team round.
Bryant was the national archery champion in 1905, 1909, 1911, and 1912.
