As a tackle at the University of Pittsburgh, Fralic was a consensus All-American in 1983 and 1984. He was the second player chosen in the 1985 NFL draft, by the Atlanta Falcons.
The 6-foot-5, 280-pound Fralic became a starting guard with Atlanta as a rookie. He was named to The Sporting News all-pro team in 1986 and 1987 and was selected for the Pro Bowl in 1986, 1987, 1988, and 1989.
In April of 1993, Fralic signed with the Detroit Lions as an unconditional free agent. He retired after one season with the Lions.
