The winner of the first two women's World Cup competitions, in 1967 and 1968, Greene was the only North American to win the title until Tamara McKinney of the U. S. in 1983.
Greene won a gold medal in the Olympic giant slalom and a silver in the slalom at the 1968 Winter Olympics. She also won four U. S. championships, the downhill in 1960, the downhill, giant slalom, and Alpine combined in 1965.
