John Hicks

Hicks started at offensive tackle as a sophomore at Ohio State University in 1970, then missed the entire 1971 season with a knee injury. He came back the following season and was a consensus All-American in 1973, when he won the Outland Trophy and the Lombardi Trophy as college football's outstanding lineman of the year.

The NFL's New York Giants moved Hicks to guard when he joined the team in 1974. The 6-foot-2, 260-pounder was a named offensive rookie of the year. Hicks was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1978 and retired after the 1979 season.
