Holman, Marshall
Bowling
b. Sept. 29, 1954, Medford, OR
The first bowler on the PBA to surpass $1.5 million in earnings, Holman won 22 tournaments, including the U. S. Open in 1981 and 1985. He had career earnings of $1,695,890.
Considered the tour's most consistent bowler during the 1980s, Holman had the PBA's highest scoring average in 1982, 1984, and 1987. His 1987 performance was unusual in that he didn't win a tournament that year.
In 1994, he began to cut back on the number of tournaments he entered, and he now bowls in only two a year.
