Harry Keough

A fine all-around athlete who excelled at soccer, Keough became America's most successful college soccer coach. He played for the St. Louis Raiders when they won the National Challenge Cup in 1952 and for the Kutis Football Club of St. Louis that won the NCC six years in a row, 1956 through 1961.

Keough started at fullback for the U. S. World Cup teams in 1950, 1954, and 1958 and was the captain of the U. S. Olympic soccer team in 1952 and 1956. He became coach at St. Louis University in 1967. He produced 4 NCAA champions (in 1969, 1970, 1972, and 1973) and 1 co-champion (in 1967) in 16 seasons there. Keough retired after the 1982 season with a record of 213 wins, 50 losses, and 23 ties.
