Little, Larry C.
Football
b. Nov. 2, 1945, Georgetown, GA
Little played tackle at Bethune-Cookman College in Florida and wasn't selected in the 1967 AFL or NFL drafts. He signed as a free agent with the AFL's San Diego Chargers and was traded to the Miami Dolphins in 1969.
The 6-foot-1, 265-pound Little became a star as a guard with Miami, leading the Dolphins' powerful running attack. He was named to the All-AFC team four years in a row, from 1971 through 1974. Miami won all 17 games in the 1972 season, including a 14-7 win over the Washington Redskins in the Super Bowl, and they repeated as Super Bowl champions the following year.
Little was named to All-Pro teams in 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, and 1977. He retired after the 1980 season.
