She never won a gold, but Loughran is the only American figure skater to win medals at three different Olympics, and she did it in two different events. After a 1924 silver and a 1928 bronze in the women's singles, she teamed with Sherwin Badger to win a silver in the pairs in the 1932 Winter Olympics.
Loughran won the U. S. singles title from 1925 through 1927. She and Badger won the national pairs title from 1930 through 1932, and they also captured the North American championship in 1930.
