1906 - No-Hitter Turns Into Loss
1906 Brooklyn pitcher Harry McIntyre had a no-hitter with two outs in the 11th inning when he gave up a single to Claude Ritchey of the Pittsburgh Pirates. McIntyre ended up losing the game, 1-0, in 13 innings.

New York Giants outfielder Mel Ott hit the 500th home run of his career against the Boston Braves at the Polo Grounds. He was the third player in history to reach that mark, after Babe Ruth and Jimmie Foxx.
