Grover Cleveland Alexander of the St. Louis Cardinals collected his 373rd and final victory by beating the Philadelphia Phillies, 7-1.

1944 - Only 58 Pitches in 9-Inning Win

Red Barrett of the Boston Braves set a record that still stands by throwing only 58 pitches in a 2-0 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.

1971 - Killebrew Passes 500-Homer Mark

Harmon Killebrew of the Minnesota Twins homered twice off Baltimore Oriole pitcher Mike Cuellar. They were his 500th and 501st career homers. However, Minnesota lost the game, 4-3.
