1973 - Nicklaus Passes $2 Million Mark
With a victory in the Disney World Open, Jack Nicklaus became the first professional golfer to surpass $2 million in career earnings.

1990 - Davis Cup Returns to U. S.
Doubles specialists Rick Leach and Jim Pugh won their match against Australia to bring the Davis Cup to the United States for the first time since 1982. Leach and Pugh were the only undefeated doubles team in Davis Cup history, winning all six of their matches.
