1933 - Morenz Scores 251st Goal
Montreal's Howie Morenz became the NHL's leading career scorer by notching his 251st goal in a 3-0 win over the Detroit Red Wings.

1972 - Steelers Win on 'Immaculate Reception'
The Pittsburgh Steelers were trailing the Oakland Raiders, 7-6, and facing a fourth down at their own 40-yard line with 22 seconds left in an AFC semifinal playoff game. Pittsburgh quarterback Terry Bradshaw threw to running back Frenchy Fuqua, who was hit by safety Jack Tatum just as the pass arrived. The ball flew seven yards back toward the line of scrimmage and Franco Harris plucked it off his shoetops and ran 42 yards for the winning touchdown.

1993 - Hasek Gets 4th Shutout of Month
Dominik Hasek of the Buffalo Sabres became the first NHL goalie ever to record four shutouts in a single month when he beat the Montreal Canadiens, 5-0.
