1961 - Wilt's 50-Plus Streak Reaches 7
Wilt Chamberlain of the Philadelphia Warriors scored 60 points in a 123-118 win over the Los Angeles Lakers. It was the seventh straight game in which he scored 50 or more points.

1978 - Woody Sluges Clemson Linebacker
Ohio State was losing, 17-15, to Clemson with less than two minutes left in the Gator Bowl when Clemson linebacker Charlie Bauman intercepted a pass and was run out of bounds at the Ohio State bench. Frustrated Buckeye Coach Woody Hayes threw a punch at Bauman and was then restrained by some of his own players. He was fired the next day.
