1982 - Gretzky Breaks Esposito's Record
With 7 minutes left in a game against the Buffalo Sabres, Wayne Gretzky of the Edmonton Oilers stole the puck and scored a goal to break a 3-3 tie. It was his 77th goal of the season, breaking Phil Esposito's record.
