Danny Heater of Boys' High School in Burnsville, WV, set the national high school basketball scoring record with 135 points. He later played at the University of Richmond.

1985 - Gretzky's Birthday Brings Another Record
On his 24th birthday, Wayne Gretzky of the Edmonton Oilers became the first NHL player to score 50 goals in 49 games as the Oilers beat the Pittsburgh Penguins, 6-3.

1986 - Bears Overwhelm Patriots
The New England Patriots took an early 3-0 lead, but it was all Chicago Bears after that in Super Bowl XX. The Bears scored 44 unanswered points and added a safety late in the game for a 46-10 victory. Defensive end Richard Dent was named MVP.
