Bill Walton's UCLA Bruins beat Notre Dame, 82-63, for their 61st consecutive victory, breaking the NCAA record set in 1956 by Bill Russell's University of San Francisco team.

1984 - Gretzky Scores in 51st Consecutive Game
Wayne Gretzky scored a goal against the New Jersey Devils, extending his NHL record consecutive game scoring streak to 51. The streak was broken by the Los Angeles Kings the following night.

1991 - Giants Edge Bills in Super Bowl
Scott Norwood of the Buffalo Bills missed a 47-yard field goal attempt with 8 seconds to play in Super Bowl XXV and the New York Giants escaped with their second championship in five years, 20-19. Running back O. J. Anderson was named MVP of the game.
