1889 - Sullivan Beats Kilrain in 75 Rounds
It was a long struggle, but John L. Sullivan finally beat Jake Kilrain after 75 rounds of their heavyweight championship fight at Richburg, Mississippi. It was the last bare-knuckle championship bout under the old London Prize Ring rules.
