1961 - Rain Ends All-Star Game at 1-1
Heavy rain in Boston resulted in the only tie in major league All-Star history, as the game had to be stopped after nine innings with the score tied, 1-1.

1990 - Ryan Gets 300th Career Win
Texas Ranger pitcher Nolan Ryan recorded his 300th career victory, an 11-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. Ryan retired after the 1993 season with 324 wins.
