Charley Kurtsinger rode War Admiral to a three-length victory in the Belmont Stakes. The son of Man o'War, who was timed in 2:28 3/5, was the fourth triple crown winner in history.

1952 - Walcott Defends Title Against Charles
Jersey Joe Walcott defended his world heavyweight championship by winning a 15-round decision over Ezzard Charles at Philadelphia. It was the first heavyweight title fight to be televised nationally.
