Easy Ed Macauley of the Boston Celtics led all scorers with 20 points as the East beat the West, 111-94, in the NBA's first All-Star Game, at Boston Garden.

1962 - Wilt the Stilt Hits Century Mark
Playing in Hershey, PA, Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points on 36 field goals and 28 free throws, leading the Philadelphia Warriors to a 169-147 win over the New York Knicks.

1966 - Hull Scores 50 For Second time
Bobby Hull of the Chicago Blackhawks became the first player in NHL history to have two 50-goal seasons. He scored his 50th in a 5-4 victory over the Detroit Red Wings.

1969 - Espo Is First to Reach 100 in NHL
Phil Esposito's goal in the Boston Bruins' 4-0 win over Pittsburgh gave him 100 points for the season. He was the first player ever to reach that mark.
