1954 - Hawks Win NBA's Only Doubleheader

The Milwaukee Hawks beat the Baltimore Bullets twice, 64-54 and 65-54, in the only doubleheader in NBA history.

1971 - Frazier Defends Title Against Ali

In a battle billed as the "Fight of the Century," Joe Frazier retained his world heavyweight championship by winning a 15-round decision over former champ Muhammad Ali. It was Ali's first loss in 32 professional fights.

1986 - Martina Passes $10 Million Mark

Martina Navratilova became the first woman tennis player to win more than $10 million in her career.

1994 - Teammates Team Up for 4-Point Plays

Pete Myers and Scottie Pippen of the Chicago Bulls both came up with four-point plays in a 116-95 win over the Atlanta Hawks. It was the first time teammates had ever done it in the same game. (A four-point play is a three-point field goal followed by a foul shot.)
