1925 - In the Wright Place at the Wright Time
Pittsburgh Pirate shortstop Glenn Wright became the fourth major leaguer to come up with an unassisted triple play. In the 9th inning of a game against the Cardinals, Wright snagged Jim Bottomley's line drive, stepped on second to double off Jimmy Cooney, and tagged Rogers Hornsby between first and second.

1957 - Herb Score's Career All But Ended
Herb Score, 24-year-old ace for the Cleveland, was hit in the face by a line drive off the bat of New York Yankee infielder Gil McDougald. Score, who had led the AL in strikeouts the previous two seasons, never returned to form and retired in 1962.

1959 - Campanella Tribute Brings Record Crowd
A record 93,103 fans attended Roy Campanella Night at Los Angeles Coliseum to honor the former MVP catcher who had been paralyzed in an auto accident. The event included an exhibition game between the Dodgers and Yankees.

1960 - Norm Wins It for Brother Larry
Catcher Norm and pitcher Larry Sherry of the Dodgers become the 10th pair of brothers to form a major league battery. Norm hit an 11th-inning home run to win the game for Larry.
