1961 - Gentile Hits Grand Slams in Consecutive Innings
Jim Gentile, Baltimore Orioles' first baseman, hit grand slam home runs in consecutive innings, the first and the second, against the Minnesota Twins. Gentile also had a sacrifice fly for a total of 9 RBI in the 13-5 win.

1984 - White Sox Finally Win 8-Hour Game
Before playing their regularly scheduled game, the Chicago White Sox and Milwaukee Brewers had to complete a game that had been suspended the day before, after 17 innings. It took 8 more innings before the White Sox finally won, 7-6. At 8 hours and 6 minutes, it was the longest timed game in history.

1987 - Murray Switch-Hits Home Runs, Again
For the second day in a row, Eddie Murray of the Baltimore Orioles hit home runs from both sides of the plate. No other major leaguer has ever done it in consecutive games.
