1952 - Minor-League Pitchers Faces 27, Strikes Out 27

Ron Neccai of the Bristol Twins in the Class D Appalachian League not only threw a perfect game, he struck out all 27 opposing hitters to beat the Welch Miners, 7-0.

Stan Musial of the St. Louis Cardinals pinch-hit a double against the Chicago Cubs for the 3,000th hit of major league career.
