1972 - Ultimate Victory for Rutgers
Rutgers beat Princeton, 29-27, in the first intercollegiate Ultimate Frisbee match at New Brunswick, New Jersey.

1974 - Reliever Wins Cy Young Award
Mike Marshall of the Los Angeles Dodgers became the first relief pitcher to win the Cy Young Award. He worked for the honor: Marshall appeared in 106 games, a major league record, recording 15 wins and 21 saves.
