1952 - Richard Becomes Career Goal Leader
Montreal's Rocket Richard scored the 325th goal of his career in a 6-4 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks, making him the NHL's all-time leader in goals scored.

1966 - 2nd League, 2nd MVP for Robinson
Frank Robinson of the Baltimore Orioles became the only player to win the most valuable player award in both leagues. Robinson was a unanimous selection after winning the triple crown with a .316 average, 49 homers, and 122 RBI. He had been traded from Cincinnati before the season. With the Reds, Robinson had won the National League award in 1961.

1970 - Dempsey Kicks 63-Yarder
Tom Dempsey of the New Orleans Saints had made only 5 of 15 field goal attempts entering the game against the Detroit Lions. But his record 63-yarder on the last play of the game gave his team a 19-17 win. Dempsey, who wore a special, NFL-approved kicking shoe because he was born with only half a right foot, hit 4 of 5 attempts against Detroit. His record kick was tied by Denver's Jason Elam in 1998.

1987 - Cards Score 28 in 4th to Win
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a comfortable 28-3 lead entering the fourth quarter of their game against the St. Louis Cardinals. But it wasn't quite comfortable enough. The Cardinals scored four touchdowns to win the game, 31-28.
