1944 - Army Routs Notre Dame, 59-0

A powerful Army team led by fullback Doc Blanchard and halfback Glenn Davis handed defending national champion Notre Dame its worst ever loss, 59-0. It was the first time an Army team coached by Red Blaik had even scored against the Irish. The Cadets intercepted 8 Notre Dame passes.

1988 - 86-Game Losing Streak Ends

After losing a record 86 games in a row, the University of Dallas basketball team finally won, beating John Brown University, 76-68.

1991 - Thomas Gets Record 7 Sacks

Linebacker Derrick Thomas of the Kansas City Chiefs set an NFL record with seven quarterback sacks against the Seattle Seahawks. He almost had eight, but on the final play of the game Dave Krieg got away from him and threw a touchdown pass to win it for Seattle, 17-16.
