1940 - Cornell "Wins" on 5th-Down TD
Cornell apparently extended its winning streak to 19 games with a last-second touchdown and a 7-3 win, although Dartmouth defenders insisted that the Big Red had already had four downs. Two days later, referee Red Friesell reviewed films and admitted that his crew mistakenly gave Cornell a fifth down, on which it scored its touchdown. Cornell relinquished the score and the victory, giving Dartmouth a 3-0 win and ending the winning streak at 18 games.

1957 - Irish End Sooner Win Streak
The longest winning streak in college football history ended when Notre Dame upset Oklahoma, 7-0. The Sooners had won 48 games in a row. Just a few days earlier, the Oklahoma football team had been featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated, with the headline, "Why Oklahoma is Unbeatable."
