1960 - Howe Hits 1,000-Point Mark
Gordie Howe of the Detroit Red Wings collected his 1,000 NHL point with an assist on a goal by Howie Glover, helping the Wings to a 2-0 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

1975 - Top Rookie Lynn Is Also MVP
Boston Red Sox centerfielder Fred Lynn became the first rookie to win the American League's Most Valuable Player award. Lynn, who was also Rookie of the Year, hit .331 with 21 home runs, 103 runs scored, and 105 RBI.
