1951 - Marciano Kayoes Joe Louis
Joe Louis came out of retirement to pay back taxes and was an 8-5 favorite over Rocky Marciano. But Marciano knocked Louis down with a left hook in the 8th round, then knocked him out with a right hand. Louis then retired for good and Marciano went on to win the heavyweight title.

1980 - Cards Tie Record With 12 Sacks
The St. Louis Cardinals tied an NFL record by sacking Baltimore Colts 12 times. The record was originally set by the Dallas Cowboys in 1966 and has since been tied by the Chicago Bears in 1984 and the Cowboys in 1985.

1995 - Lemieux Scores 500th Career Goal
Mario Lemieux of the Pittsburgh Penguins scored his 500th NHL goal in a 7-5 win over the New YOrk Islanders. He was the 20th player in league history to reach that level.
