1922 - Princeton-Chicago Game Broadcast
The Princeton-University of Chicago football game was broadcast by radio station WEAF in New York City. The play-by-play account was transmitted from Chicago to New York along telephone lines, then sent out through a radio transmitter. Princeton won the game, 21-18.

Bud Grant of Winnipeg Blue Bombers intercepted a record 5 passes in a Canadian Football League game against Saskatachewan. Grant later became a Hall of Fame coach of the Minnesota Vikings.
