Evansville Crimson Giants

History

There doesn't seem to be any information out there on the Crimson Giants. They were probably a basically local, semi-pro team pretending to be a professional team.

Evansville joined the American Professional Football Association in 1921 and had a 3-2 record that season. However, the three victories came against teams that combined for only one win and the Crimson Giants were pounded by the Green Bay Packers, 43-0.

In 1922, when the APFA had become the NFL, Evansville played just three league games and lost all three by a combined score of 88-6.
