History
FIFA, the international governing body for soccer, established the International Football Hall of Champions in 1998.
Located at Disneyland Paris, the hall is currently under development. There's also a an interactive traveling Hall of Champions exhibit that visits major soccer competitions throughout the world.
Nominations for induction into the Hall of Champions are made by a special steering committee. A panel of 32 voters votes on the nominees. Election to the hall requires votes on at least 75 percent of the ballots.
Players, managers, and coaches are eligible after having been retired for five years. Club teams, national teams, and members of the media are also eligible for induction.
