NCAA Men's Division III Golf Championship

Table of Contents

History

During the 1972-73 school year, the NCAA switched from a two-division format to three divisions.

The first Division III men's golf tournament was hosted by Tennessee University-Martin in the spring of 1975.

The tournament was originally dominated by California State-Stanislaus, which won 12 of the first 15 team championships, but Methodist College of Fayetteville, NC, took over in 1990, winning 9 of the next 10 titles.
