Richard Trophy

The NHL's newest trophy was presented by the Montreal Canadiens to honor their great player, Maurice "Rocket" Richard, the first player in NHL history to score 50 goals in a season and 500 goals in his career.

The trophy was unveiled on January 24, 1999. It goes to the player who scores the most goals during the NHL's regular season.
