The Professional Bowlers Association has presented the George Young Memorial Award to the tour bowler with the highest average since 1962. The award is named for a member of the Bowling Hall of Fame.
The winner was originally required to have taken part in 16 tournaments on the PBA's national tour. Since 1979, it's been based on a minimum of 400 games on the tour.
