History
Largely through the efforts of four players, H. Jeremy Chisholm, Phillip L. B. Iglehart, Leverett S. Miller, and George C. Sherman Jr., the Museum of Polo and Hall of Fame opened in Lake Worth, Florida, in 1990 with the induction of five hall of fame members.
There are now usually three members inducted annually, in late February.
The museum has displays related to the history of polo, including historic documents, works of art, memorabilia, films, and videos. A recent addition is an exhibit on the U. S. Open Championship tournament.
The museum library contains books, journals, magazines, statistical and written records, available for use by qualified researchers.
