History
The International Powerlifting Federation established its hall of fame in 1978. Each year, no more than two lifters and one official are inducted.
Candidates are nominated by member nations and voted on by an Executive Committee. A lifter becomes eligible only if at least two years have elapsed since he or she last competed on the international level.
