Game Summary

The underdog Chiefs battled the Packers almost evenly through the first half. But, trailing 14-10 early in the third quarter, Kansas City's Lenny Dawson was intercepted by Willie Wood, whose 50-yard return put the ball on the Chiefs' 5-yard line. Elijah Pitts scored on the next play and the game was as good as over.

A major factor in Green Bay's victory was the inability of Kansas City to run the ball. Dawson was the team's top rusher with 24 yards on three scrambles; KC running backs gained only 34 yards on 15 carries.
