Game Summary

The AFL got its first Super Bowl victory and Joe Namath won the MVP award mainly because he guaranteed that the Jets would win. Their real MVP, though, was Matt Snell, who gained 121 yards on 30 carries and scored the game's only touchdown.

Baltimore's Earl Morrall was intercepted three times. John Unitas, who missed most of the season and didn't start because of a bad elbow, came in with the Jets leading 16-0 and guided the Colts to their only score.
