Game Summary

Chuck Howley, the MVP in a losing cause the year before, could have been the MVP in a winning cause. He recovered a Larry Csonka fumble to set up the game's first score, a field goal, and returned an interception 41 yards to set up a touchdown that put the game out of reach. Csonka was held to 40 yards rushing while Duane Thomas had 95 and Walt Garrison added 74 for Dallas.
