Game Summary

The Chicago Bears spotted the New England Patriots 3 points, then overwhelmed them 46-10, setting Super Bowl records for most points and largest margin of victory. Defense keyed the win, as the Bears recorded 7 sacks and held New England to 7 rushing yards, both records. Jim McMahon became the first quarterback to score two touchdowns in a Super Bowl before leaving the game with an injury in the fourth quarter.
