Game Summary
The fifth time was charm for the Denver Broncos, who broke their own four-game Super Bowl losing streak and also ended the AFC's 13-year drought by outlasting the Green Bay Packers, 31-24. Denver was led by Terrell Davis, who rushed for 157 yards and scored on three 1-yard touchdown runs, including the game-winner with 1:45 to play. The win was especially gratifying for Denver's future Hall of Fame quarterback, John Elway, who had been the starter in three of the team's previous losses.
