Game Summary

The Tennessee Titans kept scrapping back, but they fell a yard short of a potential tying touchdown as time ran out in the St. Louis Rams' 23-16 victory. St. Louis built a 16-0 lead early in the third quarterk but the Titans came back with two short touchdown runs by Eddie George and Al Del Greco field goal to tie the game with 2:12 remaining. Then Kurt Warner hit Isaac Bruce with a 73-yard touchdown pass on the first play after the kickoff to retake the lead.

Taking over with less than two minutes to go, Tennessee drove to the St. Louis 10-yard line. On the last play of the game, Kevin Dyson caught a pass from Steve McNair and tried to muscle into the end zone, but linebacker Mike Jones stopped him in one of most dramatic Super Bowl finishes ever. Warner, who passed for a record 414 yards, was the game's MVP.
