- International Amateur Athletic Federation - The international governing body's site has been redesigned and some good stuff appears to be gone, but the history section is still pretty good
- Runners World - As the name suggests, all track and no field, and the audience is mostly runners, but the stats section is very good
- Track & Field News - Of course, they'd like you to subscribe, and it's a terrific publication, but there's a lot of free info in the archives
- The Track and Field World of Frank Wykoff - Although oriented toward the achievements of Frank Wykoff, this site has a tremendous amount of historical information about the sport in the 1928-36 period
- USA Track & Field - The national governing body's site features news and results, but there's also a good, frequently updated records section, along with bios of current athletes
