International Women's Keelboat Championship
(Bengt Julin Trophy)

Table of Contents

History

The International Women's Keelboat Championship has been conducted biennially by US Sailing since 1985. Although teams from more than a dozen nations have taken part, all of the winners to date have been from the United States.

Racing was in J-24s, with four- or five-woman crews, from 1985 through 1999. Since 2001, J-22s have been raced with crews of three or four.

Rolex is the title sponsor of the regatta. The trophy is named for Bengt Julin, a Swedish sailor and philanthropist.
