Internet user privacy and confidentiality are of the utmost importance to me, as an individual and as proprietor/webmaster of HickokSports.com. This statement explains how my website is structured to protect the privacy of Internet users and to maintain the Internet as a highly credible medium.

Contacting Me

Users may contact me through my feedback form, through ICQ, or through e-mail. A user's personally identifiable information (e.g., name, e-mail address) may be requested in certain instances. For example, if a user asks me a question by e-mail or through my feedback form, I need to know the user's e-mail address in order to respond. I do not share these e-mail addresses, or any other information sent to me, with any other persons or parties. In fact, I generally archive this information, for my own reference, for a relatively short period of time before purging it from my files.

If a question seems to be of sufficient interest, I may include it, along with my answer, in the Sports History FAQ area of this site. Questions and answers may be edited for clarity and/or brevity. Under no circumstances, when adding a question and answer to the FAQ, will I reveal the identity of the questioner, nor will I include any of the user's personal information or e-mail address.

When a person contacts me through ICQ, that person's ICQ number and e-mail address are revealed to me as part of the contact process. Again, I do not share any of this information with any persons or parties.

Forum Use

Users may post questions, answers to others' questions, and general messages to this site's Sports History and Sports Trivia forums. You should be aware that, when you voluntarily disclose personal information, such as your name and/or e-mail address, in these forums or any public forums, such information may be collected by others and may result in the receipt of unsolicited messages. Such potential uses and misuses of personal information are entirely beyond the control of HickokSports.com.

Advertising

Banner advertisements appearing at the tops of some pages on this site, and some other advertisements that appear on this site, are served by FastClick, acting as agent for HickokSports.com and for the advertisers in question. All users who receive an ad served by FastClick retain complete anonymity where FastClick is concerned.

Newsletter Subscriptions

If you subscribe to the HickokSports.com newsletter, you are asked to submit certain personal information. The only information required is your e-mail address, so that the newsletter can be sent to you. All other information is furnished at your sole option and discretion.
